Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson have pulled out of IPL 2021 because of personal reasons, Royal Challengers Bangalore confirmed on Monday (April 26). The pair will be unavailable for the remainder of the tournament.
“Adam Zampa & Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore offers complete support to them in all the possible way we can,” the franchise said in a statement.
The Australian pair follow Andrew Tye, who left the Rajasthan Royals camp to travel back home. Amidst growing concerns, R Ashwin too has left the Delhi Capitals bio-bubble to attend to the Covid concerns of his immediate family.
RCB are third in the table with four wins from five matches. While Richardson featured in one game in IPL 2021, Zampa hasn’t been able to make it to the eleven.
