Female primi was operated & CSLS done to deliver babies; First such surgery conducted at CHC Sumbal: Dr Gulshan
A female primi on Thursday delivered twins at Community Health Centre (CHC) Sumbal in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
“Both babies and their mother are healthy and fine,” Dr. Gulshan, a consultant Gynecologist, who was heading the operation told .
She said the twins were born by Lower segment Cesarian section (LSCS), which is a milestone in the history of this hospital.
“The female was operated and accordingly CSLS was done to deliver the healthy babies,” She said, adding that it was the first such surgery to be performed in the hospital.
The team which was assisting Dr. Gulshan for performing this milestone include Dr. Shaheen consultant Anesthesiology, Dr Muzaffar consultant paediatrics, and others.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Dr. Gulshan had been performing all such precious & emergency surgeries at Teritary Care Hospitals with limited infrastructure and limited resources at CHC level.
