School Administration has withheld Their Salaries from Last 8 months
Teachers of Muslim Educational Institute (MEI) Pampore on Monday staged a strong protest at Press Enclave Srinagar against mass termination orders and non-payment of salaries from last 8 months.
At a time when the Schools have collected the Fees from students even for the lockdown period, Muslim Education Institute (MEI), Pampore has terminated its employees for demanding salary for the lockdown period.
One of the employees wishing anonymity while talking to that although the school collected the fee from the students, “why aren’t they paying us our salary as we have to support our families” he questioned.
It is pertinent to mention that the circular was issued by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir in August 2020 regarding the payment of salaries to the staff.
The termination order by the MEI school authorities is the clear cut violation and against the policy of Directorate of Education.
The staff members of Muslim Educational Institute Pampore requested the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, CEO Pulwama and DC Pulwama, to investigate the matter that has been already bought into their consideration regarding the non payment of about 7 months’ salary and the mass termination of teachers, for demanding pending salaries.
However the principal of the School Tariq Bhat has threatened the teachers by termination orders when they repeatedly demanded their salaries.
