On 11/01/2021 at 2150 hours Police Station Khanyar received an information from reliable sources that near Dastageer Sahib Khanyar, some unknown persons have stabbed a person who has been shifted to SMHS hospital & declared dead on arrival at hospital.
On receipt of this information case FIR No. 03/2021 U/S 302 , 120-B was registered at Police Station Khanyar & investigation was set into motion.
The deceased was later identified as
Zayan Chasti
S/o Syed M Ashraf chasti R/o Rainawari Srinagar
During investigation, technical and circumstancial evidence was collected and eye witnesses were examined, thereby leading Investigating Officer to the accused involved in this heinous crime. The I.O. ascertained the involvement of the following three accused in this heinous crime namely:
1) Mohammad Zahid Bhat
S/o Fida Ahmad Bhat
R/o Ellahi Bagh Soura.
2) Faizan Fida Bhat
S/o Fida Ahmad Bhat
R/o Ellahi Bagh Soura.
3) Wajid Altaf Kaullah
S/o Mohammad Altaf
R/o Jabgri Pora Nowhatta Srinagar
All the three accused persons have been arrested within 12 hrs of the incident & investigation of the case is underway.
