Bollywood star Salman Khan became the cynosure of the town following his ‘Blackbuck row’ for which he was sentenced to 5 years in jail by the Jodhpur Court on Thursday.
However, after a huge furore regarding the harsh sentence, the court granted the 52-year-old a bail on Saturday, two days after he was convicted of killing two blackbucks in 1998. The entire Bolly-town was unanimous in their support for the embattled actor and lending in his voice was former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar on his ‘friend’ Salman Khan’s jail sentence on Friday.
And after the Bollywood superstar was granted a bail on Saturday, the cricketer took to his Twitter account to express his relief.
On Friday, the Rawalpindi Express posted on the microblogging site expressing how upset he is and that the judgement was a bit too harsh. And on Saturday, taking to his Twitter account, Akhtar tweeted, “Finally Salman gets a relief from honourable court I wish 1 day in my life time i get a news of Kashmir Palestine Yemen Afghanistan & all the troubled area of the world are free bcoz my heart bleeds for humanity & loss of innocent life ..”( Times Now )
