Police on Tuesday claimed that they arrested three people in Budgam district of central Kashmir for possessing illegal drugs. Among those arrested was a police constable.
According to the sources they were arrested along with i a vehicle and illegal drugs like heroin were recovered from their possession.
Officers from Police Station Budgam claimed that on a checkpoint established at New Buss Adda Budgam intercepted a vehicle Wagnor bearing registration No. DL5CN-1322 with three persons on board.
They have been identified as Arshid Ahmed Dar resident of Farishigund Dharmuna, Reyaz Hussain Mir resident of Main Budgam and Sajad Ahmed Bhat resident of Narkara Budgam. During checking, officers were able to recover 1.90 grams of heroin, 110 grams of Charas and 264 capsules of Sposmo-proxovan from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.21/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation has been taken up.
