One Person Receives Injuries after Fight at Gram Sabha in Uri

A man was injured on Wednesday during a fight at Gram Sabha of Forest Rights Committee (FRC) in upper Garkote village of Uri area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reportedly FRC gram Sabha was held in the village in which officials of Rural Development Department (RDD) and locals were present.

In the meantime a fight broke out between two parties in which a person was injured and the injured person was identified as Akber Din Balote. He was shifted to sub- district hospital Uri for the treatment.

It was reported that some minor issue between the two political parties which led to the fight. Secretary Panchayat has also reported the same to the police.

However Uri police confirmed that the FIR has been registered and further investigation is going on.
