Seek speedy compensation to affected, pray for their up-turn
Srinagar, 07 April : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party delegation on Wednesday visited Baba Reshi, Tangmarg and expressed solidarity with the traders whose shops were gutted in an inferno a few days back.
The visiting delegation comprising of Party’s Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Party MPs Muhammad Akbar, Hassnain Masoodi and other functionaries interacted with the affected traders and expresses unison with them in their difficult time. The traders apprised them about the unforeseen future problems which they will be facing if the losses incurred by them aren’t compensated effectively by the concerned district and divisional administration. The delegation assured the affected that their issues will be raised with the authorities concerned. Later the delegation met the concerned Tehsildar and urged him to expedite the relief and rehabilitation process of the Fire victims.
Delegation members urged him to assess the losses at an earliest to ensure that the losses incurred by the affected are compensated for with. The delegation members also sought compensation for the merchandise that was despoiled in the shops due to the inferno. Party’s Member of Parliament also had a telephonic conversation with the divisional commissioner Kashmir and impressed upon him to ensure speedy mitigation of the issues faced by the fire victims on priority basis. Earlier Party functionaries including party provincial secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir, and Farooq Ahmed Shah had sought more fire posts for the Tangmarg-Gulmarg belt and immediate fire audit of the Baba Reshi Shrine.
Later the Party delegation paid obeisance at the revered Shrine of Hazrat Baba Payam Ud Din Reshi (RA) and prayed for the quick recovery of Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah. The trio also prayed for fast recovery of others who have been infected with the virus and beseeched Almighty to salvage humanity from the worst ever public health crises that has struck the region again. The trio also prayed for the increased prospects of peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
