Modi will be PM candidate; Bihar’s ruling party JDU general secretary KC Tyagi said on Monday that “Narendra Modi is the prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming general elections 2024 and he will remain the candidate for this post.” Last few days, a situation of confrontation has arisen in Bihar NDA after JDU leaders told Nitish Kumar as PM material.
However, this statement alone is not responsible for the current tension between BJP and JDU. Earlier, from demanding an inquiry into the Pegasus espionage case to Nitish Kumar coming out in the open on the caste census issue, the relations between BJP and JDU have increased.
With this, JDU has made it clear its inclination to contest the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. But after Nitish Kumar was told as the PM material, the ongoing tension between the two sides has come to the fore.
Janata Dal-United General Secretary KC Tyagi has given this statement after the party’s National Council meeting. He said, “Nitish Kumar is not a candidate for the post of Prime Minister. JDU is the most trusted member of NDA and PM Modi is the leader of the National Democratic Alliance ie NDA. But he (Nitish Kumar) is definitely PM material.”
According to reports, JDU leader Lalan Singh had presented a proposal in this regard in the party’s National Council meeting held in Patna on Sunday, which has been accepted.
However, Lalan Singh has also said that “There is a difference between having the qualifications required to become the Prime Minister and claiming to be Prime Minister. PM material means that he has the ability and ability to lead the country. But we are a small party, How can we claim that?. ( ANI )
