Calls vaccination war against Covid-19Says history witnessed spread of misinformation in every war,
“We are fighting war against Covid-19 but some people are spreading misinformation to create fear among people of vaccination”, said Miss Raheela, Audio Visual Officer, Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization, J&K.She said that history has been witness to the fact that misinformation and propaganda was used in every war by some vested interested people to meet their own ends.Miss Raheela while dispelling misinformation said that vaccination saved Covid-19 patients from complications and severity.
She said that at the initial phase of vaccination there was hesitancy among the people but from the ending of April they were keen to get inoculated. While talking about the milestone achieved by Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization department, she said that 65 percent persons above 45 age group were vaccinated in Jammu and Kashmir which is much higher than the national average which stands at 44.1percent.
She said both Covaxin and Covishield vaccines are safe which has been approved by World Health Organization and other authorities. These Covid vaccines have been scientifically prepared and approved as safe and protection against infection.She established that not a single person reported any problem developed by vaccine.Miss Raheela also mentioned report released NHM which according to her said that not a single fully vaccinated person died because of covid infection. However, if any person who had been administered both vaccination shots got infected, that patient recovered immediately at home without hospitalization, she added.
She further said that only few fully inoculated persons with comorbidities got hospitalized but they returned home healthy and happily.She said that doctors aslo recommend covid vaccination for some patients ahead of any requirement of surgery.Meanwhile, she requested every person to come forward and get vaccinated to help to win war against Pandemic.
