Mia Khalifa took to Twitter recently and asked Priyanka Chopra to comment on the ongoing farmers’ protests in India. Mia, who had earlier expressed her support for farmers, wrote that she wonders if ‘Mrs Jonas will chime in at any point’ and that it gives her ‘Shakira during the Beirut devastation vibes’. Replying to Mia, several Twitter users wrote that Priyanka had already tweeted in support of farmers back in December.

In her tweet, Mia Khalifa wrote, “Is Mrs. Jonas going to chime in at any point? I’m just curious. This is very much giving me shakira during the Beirut devastation vibes. Silence.”

Several Twitter users replied to Mia and wrote that Priyanka had expressed her support for farmers much before and was among one of the first celebrities to do so.

Back in December, Priyanka Chopra, sharing a tweet by Diljit Dosanjh, wrote, “Our farmers are India’s Food Soldiers. Their fears need to be allayed. Their hopes need to be met. As a thriving democracy, we must ensure that this crises is resolved sooner than later.”

MIA KHALIFA’S SUPPORT FOR FARMERS

Earlier this month, Mia Khalifa had tweeted in farmers’ support. She had written, “”What in the human rights violations is going on?! They cut the internet around New Delhi?! #FarmersProtest.” She had also shared a picture from the protests wherein a man was seen holding a placard that said, “Stop killing farmers!”

Mia Khalifa’s tweet came a day after Rihanna and Greta Thunberg tweeted about the farmers’ protests in India.

“Why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest,” Rihanna wrote in a tweet that went viral. On the other hand, Greta Thunberg said, “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.”

on Twitter. Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn said that we should not pay attention to propaganda and stand united. Ali Fazal wrote that he stands with farmers.

Diljit, on the other hand, released a song titled RiRi ( Rihanna, ) heaping praises on the international star. His tweet didn’t go down well with Kangana Ranaut, who commented on his song announcement and accused him from trying to profit from the situation. When Diljit replied to Kangana a war or words began, ( India Today )
