Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been signed by Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement for Rinku Singh, who has suffered a knee injury. The Uttar Pradesh batter will be unavailable throughout the 2021 season, KKR announced in a release on Saturday.
Gurkeerat, the 30-year-old Punjab all-rounder, has played 41 IPL games since making his debut in 2012. He has represented Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore before being released by the latter at the end of the last season.
Barring 2018, where he didn’t get to feature in a single game, Gurkeerat has played at least two matches every season since his debut. He has scored 511 runs, including two fifties, and picked two wickets in his IPL career. 2016 was his most productive season as he scored 113 runs in 7 games and even picked two wickets.
KKR have acquired Gurkeerat at his base price of INR 50L.
