Luke Jongwe, Richard Ngarava, Roy Kaia, Milton Shumba and Tanaka Chivanga are the five uncapped players named in Zimbabwe’s 16-man Test squad for the two match series against Pakistan.
The squad also marks the return of Tendai Chisoro, who last played a Test way back in 2017. Brendan Taylor, who missed Zimbabwe’s last Test series against Afghanistan in the UAE due to health issues, makes a comeback whereas Craig Ervine misses out due to a calf injury.
Sikandar Raza continues to recover from a bone marrow infection and wasn’t available for selection.

Four players – Ryan Burl, Wessly Madhevere, Richmond Mutumbami and Brandon Mavuta – who were a part of the recently concluded series against Afghanistan, couldn’t make the cut this time.
Joylord Gumbie and Takudzwanashe Kaitano have been placed on standby for the series which will be held behind closed doors in Harare. The first Test starts on April 29.
