J&K Students Association delegation led by Spokesperson Nasir Khuehami here on today held meeting with Director- General of Police(Law and Order) Ashok Kumar in Uttrakhand and apprised him about various issues of Kashmiri Students in the State. In the Meeting, Nasir Khuehami shared various issues faced by the students in the State with Ashok Kumar and requested the establishment for a special grievance cell which ensures the safety and security of the students and followed it in letter and spirit.
Khuehami further appealed Kumar to stay vigilant and keep in touch with both Kashmiri students and the heads of the institutions where they are studying. On this Occasion, he Submitted Proposal on Suffering and problem’s of Students to DGP.
Responding to the requests of Khuehami on the Occasion, Kumar gave patient hearing to their problems & assured that, all possible steps are being taken to ensure their safety and security. Kumar assured him of taking all possible steps to ensure the students’ safety and said that he had been closely monitoring the situation.
Kumar said, he is committed to ensure the students that they will be providing them the best of the support in every regard. He informed him that, a 24×7 Special grievance redressal helpline to be set-up for J&K Students through which students can contact the police added that top Rank official will coordinate with it for an early disposal of cases.
