20th November, 2021. BaramullaJKAACL in Collaboration with Sangeet Natak Academy New Delhi and All J&K Folk Artists Association kick Started *Jashn-e-Jammu and Kashmir*(Azadi ka Amrit Maha Utsav 2021) at Govt. Degree College for Women’s Baramulla. The Welcome note was presented by the Chairman of All JK folk Artists Association Gulzar Ahmad Bhat. Today a rainbow of Cultural performances were presented by the performers. Sazeena, Bhand Paether, Rouff Dance, Chakri, Skit were the main attraction of Programme. Performers enthralled the august gathering. Mrs. Safina Beigh Chairman District Development Council Baramulla was the chief guest on the occasion.District Magistrate Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar (IAS) presided the function.
Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan Cultural Activist and Dr Shahzad Asim Research head KASRC, Cluster University Srinagar were the Guest of Honour.A message of Additional Secretary JKAACL Mr.Sanjiv Rana was read in the function, were in he had appreciated the efforts of the organizers for organising such a good show in the Women Degree College Baramulla. He said that such more shows will be organised in all the 20 Districts in J&K under the programme of *Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav*. He also said that such inisiative will be supported by Academy in future as well. Academy is committed to promote folk art of J&K and also give a suitable platform to all the artists of J&K.Mr. Mushtaaque Ali said that such events are a welcome step shall be organized in Colleges and Schools as well because our childrens will get to know our traditional art . Dr Shahzad Asim follows the words of Mustaaque said, this initiative is a unique one as it unfolded the treasure of folk art. Safina Beigh Chairman District Development Council Baramulla was Chief Guest on the Occasion said I feel very proud to be the part of this initiative . This is a Challenge to the Govt to revive the fading art of the Jammu and Kashmir. We have the talent here but they need encouragement and a platform to showcase their talent. DC Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar who presided the function said Kashmir valley is known for its blending of multiple cultural and rich heritages. I am happy to see the local art of Kashmir and all the above glad to see the Artists from the Baramulla District. i extend my support whenever there will be need of mine.
