Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has thanked the people there for the victory of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Imran Khan has tweeted on the results and said that he will focus on eradicating poverty in this region and will make the government responsible and transparent.
Congratulating the winning candidates, he wrote, “As the ambassador of Kashmir, I will raise my voice in all international forums including the United Nations so that the international community fulfills the resolve of self-determination given to the Kashmiri people under the United Nations sponsored referendum.”
Imran Khan’s party is getting a chance to form the government for the first time in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
According to local media, his party has won 25 out of 45 seats there. The Pakistan People’s Party has been second and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) third. By the way, in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, the ruling party of the Center has generally been victorious. ( PTK )
