The authorities on Friday ordered ban on sale of e-cigarettes in Kashmir division.
In a order issued here, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, ordered complete ban on “sale, purchase and use of e-cigarettes” in Kashmir division.
“The ban has been imposed keeping in view the harmful effects of e-cigarettes which contains nicotine and hence is additive. It triggers change in the adolescent brain and exposes lungs to dicetyl that can cause severe lung disease,” read the order issued by divisional commissioner’s office.
It also said that the defaulters will be booked under law.
