In another snub to Arnab Goswami, Kaun Banega Crorepati host Amitabh Bachchan recently welcomed a contestant with a question on Shah Rukh Khan. This came just days after the Raees actor and Salman Khan initiated extraordinary legal action against the Republic TV founder.
Welcoming a 24-year-old businessman from Mumbai, Bachchan asked, “Which word completes this line from the film Raees, ‘Koi__Chhota Nahi Hota.’ The options were Banda, Dhanda, Lamba and Khambha.
The contestant correctly answered in favour of dhanda, which means business in English. Bachchan was full of praises for the contestant for his achievement in the field of business at such a young age. The contestant had informed the Bollywood megastar how he had helped his Uncle take the family business to new heights.
This season of Kaun Banega Crorepati has seen Amitabh Bachchan repeatedly ask his contestants questions on Bollywood artists, who have been at the receiving end from Arnab Goswami due to their silence on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
When Bachchan asked his contestant questions on Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone in his inaugural episode of the KBC, many had felt that this would cause some heartburn to Arnab Goswami. Since then, Bachchan’s quiz show has repeatedly featured questions on Bollywood artists, who Goswami has targeted in the past.
This season of KBC will finally have its first crorepati with Nazia Nasim winning the jackpot. A promo broadcast by Sony TV showed Bachchan announce the first crorepati winner. The said episode is scheduled to be broadcast on 11 November.
In an unprecedented move, legal action has been taken against Arnab Goswami, his TV channel Republic TV, Times Now and its editors Rahul Shivshankar and Navika Kumar and Goswami’s colleague Pradeep Bhandari, by some of the biggest names in Bollywood namely Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Karan Johar. They had recently moved the Delhi High Court seeking to curb the irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory remarks being made against the film industry. ( Janta Ka Reporter )
