A 47 year old man from Tral area has went missing and has joined militant ranks.
Ab Hameed Chopan (47) according to his family members had went on 16 July and hasn’t returned back since then.
“He left home and told us that he is going to irrigate land, however, he didn’t return back and we search him everywhere but couldn’t find anything about him forcing us to lodge his missing report at Police station Tral,” they said.
“We are now just three members left in our family, my daughter and my son who is pursuing bachelor’s degree at govt degree college Tral, she said, adding that we don’t have any earning hand now,” they added.
“We don’t have any info whether he has joined any militant organization or not,” the family members said, adding that we hope whatever decision he will take, will be a mature one.
Pertinently Gulshan’s son Aadil Ahmad Chopan and brother Mohammed Maqbool Chopan both commanders of militant outfit Hizb were killed in the year 2017 and 2020 respectively.
A senior police official while confirming that Chopan is missing from last several days said that it is likely that he has joined banned militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad.
