Teenage Girl Among 3 Civilians Killed In Forces Firing In Kulgam

Three civilians, including a teenage girl, were killed and at least five others injured after the government forces opened fire on protesters in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

Local sources said that forces opened fire on protesters who pelted them with stones in Hawoora area of Redwani.

All the injured were taken to nearby Primary Health Centre (PHC) Frisal where three among them were declared brought dead, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Shakir Ahmad Khanday (22) son of Mohd Hussain Khanday, Irshad Ahmad (20) son of Abdul Majeed and Andleeb (16) daughter of Ali Mohammad.

Meanwhile, Internet has been suspended in Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts.
