The state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday said that separatist leaders are not taking part in the talks as they fear that Pakistan may assassinate them.
BJP state president and MLA Nowshera, Ravinder Raina said that it is not mandatory to wait for conducive atmosphere for talks but people living in the country can talk to their leaders anytime they want.
“I believe that whosoever wants to talk with Prime Minister, state’s Chief Minister or other leaders, he or she is welcome. There is nothing wrong to talk,” he said.
“Separatist leaders are not reciprocating over talks as they have quite apprehensions that Pakistan may kill them if they will participate,” he added.
Asked about extension in ceasefire, Raina said that the announcement made by Government of India has brought relief among the people. “Ceasefire has brought relief among the people but those trying to sabotage the initiative won’t be spared. We won’t let Pakistan to ruin the youth of our nation. We will try to provide more relief to the people”.
He said that “it is unfortunate that Pakistan like Millitants country is our neighbour, the government has already been stating there should be peace everywhere especially on border areas in JK but Pakistani Millitants continued bloodbath in Kashmir during Ramadhan and now they are attacking on border areas.”
Raina said that India won’t act as mute spectator over the border attacks and will give befitting reply to them.
