Life returned to normal in frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir on Monday after remaining paralysed due to shutdown and restrictions imposed by the authorities following the killing of scholar-turned-militant Mannan Bashir Wani.
Wani was killed along with an aide in a gunfight with the forces in Shartpora village of Kupwara on Thursday.
All the shops and other commercial establishments closed during past four days opened today morning.
Curbs imposed by the government to foil protests against the killing of Wani were also lifted today.
2G Internet service was also restored in the district. However, all the schools and colleges in the district remained closed to prevent any protests.
