Kashmir shuts against civilian killings

Srinagar 11 Jul 2018

A complete shutdown is being observed in Kashmir valley following the shutdown call by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against the civilian killings in Kashmir.

All the shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed while traffic is off the roads.

On Tuesday JRL called for a valley-wide shutdown soon after an encounter in Shopian village. The encounter ended up with the killing of two militants and one civilian Tamseel Ahmed while over fifty civilians sustained injuries who were later referred to different hospitals for the treatment.
