KASHMIR Leopard injuries two in north Kashmir’s Gurez

Two persons were injured after a leopard attacked them in Korakbal area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday.

An official said that two persons namely Sajad Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Jabbar Lone and Haneefa Begum wife of Mohammad Rafiq— both residents of Korakbal, Kanzalwan — were injured after being attacked by a leopard.

He said that they received minor injuries and were shifted to CHC Dawar for treatment.

SDM Gurez Mohammad Rafiq Lone said both the persons are out of danger. “We have also sanctioned Rs. 20, 000 to each for their treatment, ” he said.
