Former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Shahnaz Ganie on Saturday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a tragic road mishap in Poonch district.
Ganie expressed solidarity with the bereaved families who lost their dear ones in the mishap and also prayed for their courage to the bear this irreparable loss.
She further said that the health care facility in the State is weak, which needs to be strengthened in every aspect. “The district hospital in Poonch is facing acute shortage of men and machinery and there is a need to ensure adequate men and machinery in the hospitals across the State,” she said.
Ganie said that they have urged the Govt several times to ensure adequate men and machinery in the hospital but nobody paid heed to their pleas.
She said that the overloading, potholed roads are also among the reasons behind road accidents in Poonch. “We appeal the authorities to repair the potholed roads immediately,” she said.
Ganie added that government must provide critical care ambulances in Poonch like areas, which are prone to such accidents so that precious the lives in the future could be saved.
